We talk to ourselves internally, criticize, comment, and listen less. We carry beliefs and experiences around with us like a pair of glasses that prevent us from seeing and feeling in a new way today. The journey of body-based psychotherapy has the following goal: when you feel and perceive more clearly what is going on inside you, you can better examine old, painful experiences and ultimately integrate them. And then you can also decide more clearly how to move forward with these integrated experiences in an authentic way, guided above all by your own values and experiences.

Trauma

Traumatic experiences are stored very strongly in our “body memory” and thus influence our development. Often, these learned experiences and the associated coping strategies continue to hinder our lives to this day. What was useful in the past now stands in our way. If we devote sufficient attention to these aspects of ourselves, it can help us grow enormously as human beings. And often it is this greater depth of our own physical and emotional awareness that ultimately helps us feel connected to ourselves and our lives and gives us a sense of meaning.

I want to support you on this path with time and attention.

If you would like to learn more about the topics of fear, pain, and trauma in my work, I recommend taking a look at my topics page.

About the process

In regular sessions, I work with verbal descriptions and also use different forms of description and touch.
